\"\"<\/a>Directors, Actors, Playwrights, Composers and Theatre-Makers from Iraq, Japan, Italy and the United States offer personal insights into theatre-making at La MaMa Umbria in July \/ August, 2012. This year\u2019s emphasis is on Collaboration amongst artists in the theatre and other disciplines.
\nAmong the renowned theatre practitioners who will participate are: Elizabeth Swados<\/strong><\/a>, Neil LaBute and <\/strong>Marco Calvani<\/strong><\/a>, Mac Wellman<\/strong><\/a>, Yoji Sakate<\/a><\/strong>, Stephan Koplowitz<\/strong><\/a>, John King<\/a>, Kwesi Johnson<\/a><\/strong>, Karin Koonrod<\/strong><\/a>, Melanie Joseph<\/strong><\/a>, John Moran<\/strong><\/a>, Dr. Fadil Jaf<\/a><\/strong>among many others.\u00a0Workshops range from Site-Specific Performance, Meyerhold Technique, Using Noh with Modern Texts and The Actor\/Playwright Collaboration to Creating Theatre Through Music, Pataphysics of Performance and The Tempest and the Sea.<\/p>\n

All participants live and work at La MaMa Umbria International<\/em>, Founder Ellen Stewart\u2019s 15th century arts complex in the Umbrian hills near Spoleto. La MaMa Umbria includes a rehearsal studio, an outdoor stage, gallery space, a caf\u00e9 and other unique spaces. Fresh, delicious food comes from the garden and many meals are cooked in a 500 year-old stone oven.<\/p>\n

La MaMa Umbria offers 4 distinct programs in 2012 including:
\n– International Symposium for Directors\/Theatre-makers<\/strong>, <\/a>
\n– Playwright Retreat<\/a><\/strong>, <\/a>
\n– Master Acting Workshops <\/a>
\n– Special creative Residencies<\/a><\/strong>.
\nMost workshops include visits to areas of local culture including Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto or other ancient towns and performances at summer festivals and community events, including the Spoleto Festival of 2 Worlds<\/strong><\/a> and the La MaMa Spoleto Open<\/strong><\/a>, fringe<\/em> event.<\/p>\n

Nei mesi di luglio e agosto 2012, presso il Centro de La MaMa Umbria International, registi, attori, drammaturghi, compositori e theatre-makers di livello internazionale, provenienti da Iraq, Giappone, Italia e Stati Uniti offrono corsi intensivi su diversi aspetti del teatro. Quest’anno l’accento \u00e8 sulla muldisciplinariet\u00e0, sulla collaborazione tra teatro e altre discipline.
\nTra i professionisti di fama internazionale che condurranno i corsi sono: Elizabeth Swados<\/a>, Neil LaBute e <\/a><\/strong>Marco Calvani<\/strong><\/a>, Mac Wellman<\/a>, Yoji Sakate<\/a>, Stephan Koplowitz<\/a>, John King<\/a>, Kwesi Johnson<\/a>, <\/strong>Karin Koonrod<\/strong><\/a>, Melanie Joseph<\/a>, John Moran<\/a>, Dr. Fadil Jaf<\/a><\/strong> ed altri.
\nOgni corso ruota intorno ad un tema: dalla realizzazione di performance site-specific<\/em>, alla tecnica Meyerhold<\/em>, all’uso del teatro Noh giapponese per la messa in scena di testi moderni<\/em>, alla collaborazione tra attori e drammaturghi per la realizzazione di nuove creazioni<\/em>, alla Patafisica della Performance, <\/em>a La Tempesta e il mare.<\/em><\/p>\n

La MaMa Umbria offre quest’anno 4 diversi programmi di studio<\/span> tra cui:<\/p>\n

– Simposio Internazionale per Registi e Creatori di Teatro,<\/a>
\n<\/strong>– Incontro Residenziale di Scrittura Teatrale,<\/strong><\/a>
\n– Master Classes per attori.<\/a>
\n– Residenza Speciale di Creazione.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

La maggior parte dei corsi prevedono anche delle visite ai luoghi di interesse culturale della zona, tra cui Spoleto, Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, o altre citt\u00e0 storiche, la visione di spettacoli all’interno del programma del Spoleto Festival dei 2 Mondi<\/strong><\/a>, del La MaMa Spoleto Open<\/strong><\/a> e di altri festival estivi o eventi in piccole comunit\u00e0 locali. I corsi sono residenziali, pertanto sia i docenti che i partecipanti vivono e lavorano presso il Centro de La MaMa Umbria International.
