During the 10-day symposium, playwrights will have ample time to work on new or existing material.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Erik\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lamamaumbria.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Erik-300x100.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"100\" \/>ERIK EHN<\/strong>\u2019s work includes\u00a0<em>The Saint Plays<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Heavenly Shades of Night Are Falling<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Maria Kizito, No Time Like the Present<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Wolf at the Door<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Tailings<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Beginner<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Ideas of Good and Evil<\/em>, and an adaptation of Faulkner\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Sound and the Fury<\/em>. He is an artistic associate at San Francisco\u2019s Theatre of Yugen. His plays have been produced in San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, New York, San Diego, Chicago, and elsewhere. He is a graduate of New Dramatists and the former dean of California Institute of the Arts School of Theater. He is currently head of Playwriting at Brown University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROCESS OF STILLNESS<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>\u201cA presentation of the process of stillness\u201d &#8211; Evagrius of Pontus. Writing as a process of contemplation-in-action, the balance of reflection and construction.
